The Cashier is an intermittent and part-time position that performs point-of-sale transactions and support tasks for the Pima County Parks and Recreation department.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to enter sales and manage transactions;
Maintain accountability of funds by balancing the cash drawer and following cash-handling procedures;
Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and surrounding area;
Support special events and programs by providing cashier services or guest check-in;
Perform basic clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing paperwork.

Valid driver license is required at time of application.
Valid AZ driver license is required at time of appointment.
Failure to obtain/maintain the required licensure shall be grounds for termination.

Minimum one (1) year experience working at a public shooting range and or a shooting sports program.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in customer service as a cashier or public relations.
Selection Procedure:
Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications.
Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications.
The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources.

Handle cash and electronic payments accurately for admissions, rentals, merchandise, or event fees;
Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests and answering questions;
Communicate facility rules, hours of operation, and safety guidelines to patrons;
Assist with reservations for park shelters, sports fields, or recreational programs;
Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or suspicious activity to supervisors;

$17.90 - $24.16 Per Hour
Hiring Range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
Pay Range is the entire compensation range for the position.
Hiring Range: $17.90 - $21.03 Per Hour
