- At this level, this individual is gaining experience and will be able to take on some tasks without supervision.
Responsibilities
- Carries out tasks assigned by the Project Lead and engineering team.
- Develops working drawings for civil design plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading, drainage, utility, stormwater management and street frontage improvements) from sketches.
- Uses engineering judgment to perform duties and knows when to ask questions, seek assistance or perform independent research.
- Manages personal time allotted to various tasks in order to meet obligations of one or more projects, including budget, quality and schedule.
- Can provide accurate design of grading, drainage, utilities and stormwater treatment with minimal input from engineer of record.
- Performs civil engineering calculations, SWPPP's and other engineering reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent level of experience (2025-2026 Graduates are welcome to apply)
- 0-5 years of experience in land development
- General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, Adobe, Internet applications, etc.
Nice to have
- Engineering in training (EIT) or scheduled to sit for exam is preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam, preferred
- Additional software experience a plus, e.g., Agtek, Hydrology/Hydraulic Software
