About the role

  • This position is responsible for supporting the development of innovative recombinant protein and antibody products within BioLegend's Molecular & Cellular Biology (MCBio) group.
  • include preparing buffers and cell culture media, maintaining mammalian cell cultures, and purifying recombinant proteins and antibodies in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Purify and further process recombinant proteins & antibodies to meet specifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain mammalian and insect cell cultures
  • Transfect/transduce cells and manage production runs
  • Maintain batch records and other documentation that are essential to be compliant with ISO13485:2016
  • The Research Associate will contribute to the development of new product lines by providing technical support on research projects and collaborating with team members across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in biology or a related field
  • 1+ years of mammalian or bacterial cell culture experience
  • Other projects or responsibilities may be required

Nice to have

  • Expression & purification of recombinant proteins & antibodies
  • Effective communicator & presenter
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, organized, and work well in small workgroups
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation

  • The base salary range for this full-time position is $22.10 - 29.50/hr.
