- Position Title: Accounting Specialist Pay Rate: $48,300-$64,400 Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.
- Category/Shift: Salaried Non-Exempt Physical Location: 601 County Rd 78 Selma, Al The Riverdale Mill is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist in our Finance Department.
Responsibilities
- Support mill safety initiatives such as Safe Work Observations, 5S, and monthly safety meetings
Requirements
- Process payroll transactions for the mill, including any required reporting as needed
Skills
- Instill safety as a core value within the team and effectively communicate a shared vision for safety
- Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with groups and individuals at all levels
- Utilize strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
- Preferred Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related discipline is required
- Experience working in Payroll/Finance
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of financial accounting and internal controls
- Prefer knowledge of union workforce and rotating shift schedules
- Strong computer skills - Microsoft office specifically strength in Excel
- Must have strong analytical, planning, and organization skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Able to handle multiple priorities, and take pride in accuracy, quality, and completeness of work
- Use of Workforce, Sedgwick, and SAP systems
Compensation
