About the role

This is a full-time, New York-area role requiring four in-office days per week in our New York city office.
Oversee day-to-day legal work across portfolio companies, including contract review, commercial agreements, and senior employee and consultant agreements
Work with SFM's central legal and compliance teams on investment transactions, disputes, and regulatory matters, ensuring alignment with portfolio needs

This role will collaborate with SFM's legal resources within portfolio companies and/ or external co unsel where appropriate, while maintaining overall responsib i l ity for ensuring work is delivered to a high standard.
Set and maintain clear, practical legal standards (templates, policies, playbooks) across companies where consistency is helpful
Manage and coordinate external counsel, including selecting firms, scoping work, and controlling costs

Bachelor's degree and JD required, with excellent academic record
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in corporate law
