About the role
- You will be responsible for supporting the diverse needs of our purchasing functions.
- You will interact with different Reporting Units, cross-functional teams and supplier representatives, so an interest and capability for policy and process understanding as well as strong communication skills are a must.
- This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses.
Responsibilities
- Maintains the centralized supplier file system
- Performs other duties as assigned by the manager or other associated leaders within the department
- Support preliminary vetting of suppliers (contact information, questionnaire, NDA's, etc.)
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
Requirements
- Must be well organized, self-motivated, capable of managing conflict, and resourceful managing complex assignments
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills required
- must be comfortable interfacing with all levels of management
- Must have working knowledge of MS Office programs

- The GSM Intern will perform activities associated with the purchase of a wide range of supplies, materials, equipment, and services.
- The job duties and activities required include a range of actions necessary to procure needed goods and services, i.e., obtaining pricing, administering, and pursuing projects.
