About the role
- The Mechanical Engineering Department at the "Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología - UTEC", Lima, Peru, invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in Mechanical Engineering.
- Desired courses to be taught include Dynamics, Statics, Mechanical Vibrations, Fluid Mechanics, and other undergraduate or graduate courses related to the Mechanical Engineering curriculum.
- Applicants with a strong scholarly background and research potential are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Once hired, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, obtain competitive external funding, establish an active cross-disciplinary research program, and contribute through service to the profession, the department, and UTEC.

- Experience teaching mechanical engineering courses at the university level
- Experience supervising theses and research projects
- Experience writing grant proposals
- PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience writing journal publications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
