- Prepare technical reports and present to Test Facility Engineering Management.
Responsibilities
- Perform life cycle and root cause failure analysis of steam facility equipment, including boilers, cooling towers, condensers, and other high-temperature and high-pressure systems.
- Research, plan, design, and develop new systems and operating profiles to increase test facility efficiency.
- Perform thermal and heat transfer analysis on various test facility systems and components. - Support testing of the main propulsion and power generation equipment.
- Maintain and develop preventative maintenance procedures and corrective maintenance planning for the overhaul and repair of systems and components.
- Develop and maintain program-specific Pre and Post Test checklists. ****Please note this will be a swing shift****

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of mechanical and/or electrical engineering work experience
- Master's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of mechanical and/or electrical engineering work experience.
- Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Experience with the operation of propulsion and power plant machinery and/or Fluid and Thermodynamic Systems experience.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in STEM in Mechanical Engineering.
- Test Facility and/or Power Generation/Chemical Facility operational experience.
- FEA modeling experience.
Compensation
- Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
- Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
- $103,600.00 - $155,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
