About the role

The Automation Technician I is an entry-level technical position responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automation and control systems.
Assist with the installation, wiring, and commissioning of automation and control systems.
Assist with running conduit, pulling cable, and terminating control wiring.

Support installation and maintenance of PLC panels, instrumentation devices, sensors, and control wiring.
Help install and maintain instrumentation such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, level sensors, and temperature devices.

Basic knowledge of electrical systems or industrial equipment.
Ability to safely use hand tools and basic power tools.
The Automation Technician I is expected to follow company safety procedures, learn industry best practices, and develop the technical skills required to work independently in industrial and oil and gas environments.
Participate in job safety meetings, hazard assessments, and required safety training.
Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Participate in required safety meetings and safety training.
Wear required PPE including flame-resistant clothing and other protective equipment as required by the work environment.

Technical certificate or coursework in electrical technology, instrumentation, or automation.
Basic familiarity with PLC systems such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens.
Experience with industrial electrical or instrumentation work.
OSHA 10 certification.
H2S Awareness training.
First Aid / CPR certification.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.

Follow all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
