About the role
- The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy at our recycling facility and offsite warehouse, covering raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products.
- The Inventory Control Specialist will help with data collection and serve as a model for safety and operational excellence.
- Leading a culture of safety compliance, especially regarding material handling equipment.
Responsibilities
- Manage data and transactions within a Warehouse Management System and create reports to support management decision-making.
- Developing and implementing cycle counts & root cause analysis to gather data to develop and improve training material.
- Maintains and communicates inventory accuracy or other metrics.
Requirements
- Ability to work in environments that may include exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals for extended periods.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
- Ability to walk throughout the plant.
- Ability to bend at the waist.
- Ability to wear PPE, which includes but is not limited to the following: eye and face protection, hearing protection, respirators, and protective shoes and shoe coverings.
- Additionally, this role will provide support for shipping and receiving activities as required and will report directly to the Logistics Manager.
- Other duties as required and assigned.
- Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
