About the role
- This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients.
- This is a full-time position located in our Seattle, WA office.
- In this role, you will provide expert-level technical and strategic consulting for complex geotechnical projects, primarily supporting public- and private-sector clients throughout Washington.
Responsibilities
- Lead major consulting assignments associated with your area of expertise and provide expert-level technical and strategic consulting to ensure that assignments align with client needs.
- Leverage your breadth of experience and knowledge from working across multiple clients, projects, code and regulatory frameworks, and/or market segments and geographies to align project scopes with client objectives to deliver extraordinary client value.
- Lead the development of team technical competence, knowledge of codes and regulations, and professional standards of practice to assigned tasks.
- Direct, coach, and support teams of staff in quality execution of multiple projects simultaneously within your technical practice area and specialty.
- Be sought after to provide leadership for staff at varying levels with expert mentoring and coaching to support alignment of staff with market and client needs and support the growth and innovation of our practice areas.
- Lead large project technical evaluations and communications, design and contract package development, construction procurement support, and function as certifying Engineer of Record and/or Subject Matter Expert on geotechnical projects.
- Lead teams performing construction quality control, including field/laboratory testing.
- Support proposal development, interviews, client relationship management, and business-development activities for public- and private-sector opportunities in Washington.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
- 16+ years of related professional experience.
- Knowledge of Washington geology, subsurface conditions, engineering practices, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience serving public- and private-sector clients.
- Ability to serve as a senior technical authority and reviewer for complex or higher-risk deliverables.
- An active Professional Engineer license in Washington is required.
