Responsibilities

  • Employees may be directed to perform tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
  • May also perform duties for prior authorization, referrals (incoming/outgoing), good faith estimates, and/or payment collections.

Requirements

  • Using CPR skills when required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills required to interact with patients, patients' families/visitors and clinical staff, including all levels of providers.
  • Ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Recertification every two year Required

Skills

  • Computer knowledge, required.
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Phlebotomy skills and experience, preferred.
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
  • National Healthcareer Association Required or
  • American Medical Technologist Required or
  • National Certified Medical Assistant
  • National Center for Competency Testing Required or
  • American Association of Medical Assistants Required
  • Basic Life Support Certified

  • Education Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of related customer facing experience, preferably in healthcare. Required
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - National Healthcareer Association Required or
  • Medical Assistant - American Medical Technologist Required or
  • National Certified Medical Assistant - National Center for Competency Testing Required or
  • Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants Required
