Responsibilities
- Gather and maintain specific records of technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures, and processes used in the Eagle Pass plant.
- Create and maintain inspection plans, logs, and reports.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot/repair on all pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose and repair/replace faulty electrical components, such as transformers, lighting fixtures, relays, switches, drives, electrical Motors, Using electronic test equipment and hand tools.
- Perform general electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance and installations.
- Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
- Technical Knowledge: Constantly seeks opportunities to expand technical knowledge, skills or experience. This includes knowledge of DCS/PLC control systems, high voltage equipment, PLC applications, line drives, process instrumentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic and computerized equipment including PLCs, AC/DC drives, motor control systems, and related equipment and systems.
- Maintain quality and accuracy with attention to detail.
- Manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities, with the ability to multi-task and maintain professionalism.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Electrical and Mechanical experience
- Knowledge of MIG & TIG welding
- Experience with robot's systems such as Yaskawa.
- Knowledge of OSHA and safe work practices.
- Ability to follow written instructions and documented procedures.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- Required Skills & Competencies:
Nice to have
- Bachelor or Technical college degree in Electrical or Mechatronics preferred.
- In lieu of degree, 6+ years of relevant experience
- Advance knowledge of electric software platforms, Siemens systems a plus
Skills
- Pro-actively design and fabricate production equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
