About the role
- Veterinary Technician Salary: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Our hospital is open 8am-8pm, seven days a week.
- Dorset Street Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
- Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of veterinary experience.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
- This position includes a mix of weekday and weekend shifts, with some evening shifts required.
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
