About the role
- The Superintendent is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities and workforce specific to their project/job site while maintaining a culture of safety on the job site and maintaining the project deliverables.
- Has effective communication skills, keen attention to detail and ability demonstrate and correct key performance skills necessary in the field.
- Works closely with the engineers and subcontractors on the job to figure out project needs and oversees the performance of the construction crew.
Responsibilities
- Manage new building construction and remodel projects assigned to you per the Construction Director/Leadership
- Set up and maintain an organized and professional job site office
- Maintain project files, prepare daily activity reports, and take progress photos
- Help to plan and maintain job site logistics, security, and safety
- Manage and coordinate deliveries, inspections, and team members to meet the project schedule
- Maintain workforce badging system
- Support the Superintendent
- Maintain positive relationships with owners and subcontractors
- Maintain punch lists, ensure corrective actions and work toward project closeout
- Our Construction team is a blend of skillful professionals who work to support and learn from one another.
Requirements
- 5-7 years related experience in construction management, general contracting, project management, carpentry, labor, or related experience
- Experience leading safety and creating safety procedures and protocols is integral
- Experience performing safety inspections
- Ability to use a computer, the Internet, and email.
- Ability to work safely in a construction environment
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Milhouse University (Cross-Functional Training) - Expand your expertise with internal training built to elevate your career and receive PDH credits for applicable training towards professional engineering licenses, etc..
Nice to have
- Associates Degree or equivalent related experience preferred
- Bi-Lingual, Spanish Speaking preferred
