About the role

- Working in tandem with the faculty program advisors, liberal arts and sciences advisors, and the faculty counseling position, this role acts as the primary liaison to the new and currently enrolled student populations.
- Customer Service - Act as a comprehensive advocate for students to ensure their success.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive student support, including assistance with basic needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.
- Experience in developing academic plans

Requirements
- Proficiency with a variety of word processing, database and web-based applications sufficient to accurately collect data and create reports
- The ability to work with minimal supervision and ability to make decisions independently regarding workload, problems or situations
- Knowledge of public, private, and community social services and resource agencies sufficient to provide referrals to students
- Knowledge of data privacy practices and FERPA
- Knowledge of the functions of Academic Affairs and of Northland Community and Technical College
