  • Job Description Minneapolis College seeks a temporary, part-time instructor position in our CNC Machinist Program (MTTC ) Department within the School of Trade Technologies.
  • This is an opportunity for a teaching position during Fall Semester of the 2026 - 2027 academic year that may be renewed for the 2027 Spring Semester at the discretion of the Dean of the School of Trade Technologies.

  • Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for the Minnesota State credential field of Machine Tool Technology/Machinist:
  • Occupational Experience Requirement: Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in machine setup, programming, troubleshooting and operation of both manual and CNC equipment.
  • The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
  • CNC Machinist Associate of Applied Science Degree (60 credits)

Nice to have

  • Teaching experience in a community college or technical school setting
  • Occupational experience in machine setup, programming, troubleshooting and operation of both manual and CNC equipment
  • Experience incorporating technology into curriculum delivery

  • Current and former employees must be in good standing with Minneapolis College to be considered for the position.
  • Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons: 12:00PM to 5:00PM

Compensation

  • $44,359 - $74,049 annually. Salary schedule placement is determined on the basis of education and experience and in accordance with the 2025 - 2027 Master Agreement between the Minnesota State Board of Trustees and the Minnesota State College Faculty.
